Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, MD Admission Guidance

The Padmashree Dr.D.Y.Patil Medical College established in 1996 received approval of the medical council of India (MCI) for the award of MBBS degree for its very first batch. The college has been accorded the status of Deemed-to-be-University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Government of India on recommendation of the University Grants Commission (UGC) within a period of just six and a half years of establishment perhaps the shortest period of such recognition.

This is the first private college in the state of Maharashtra to receive MCI approval to increase in the intake from 100 to 150 students in 2003 again perhaps within the shortest span of time of seven years.

The college building is a masterpiece of architecture and has all state-of-the-art facilities that are in tune with the best in the world.

The college building basks in fine aesthetics and is impressive. It has a mural of Lord Dhanvantari on its facade and the magnificent fibre glass dome can be seen from miles around.

Elgibility:

Student must pass degree of M.B.B.S from an recognized University.

The student should have completed such period of post examination or rotating intrenship.

Admission Process:

Candidate should obtain 50% or more marks at AIPGMET  to qualify for admission.

The provisional selection for the General Seats in the Post Graduate Courses will be done on the basis of merit in All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (AIPGMET).

When all the Seats in a given Course are filled admission of students to that Course will instantaneously cease and Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Pune will not be responsible for non-availability of seats and non allotment of seats to rest of the candidates.

• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate
• Proof of Date of Birth
• Two recent photographs taken from same negative without cap or goggles taken within last six months. One should be pasted on the application form duly attested by the Principal/Dean of the College or any Gazetted Officer. The other should be stapled to the application form.
• Demand Draft of the requisite amount
